Al-Amal Participated in the 10th Anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution (SCR) 1325

Iraqi Al-Amal Association has participated in the round table meeting organized by United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) and United Nations Team; the meeting was  held in Baghdad, 26th  July, 2010,synchronically  to the 10th  anniversary of Security Council Resolution (SCR) 1325, about the  Women participation in Security and Peace-Keeping processes.

The meeting was chaired by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Iraq (SRSG) Mr. Ad Melkert,  Dr. Khuloud  Sami Al-Majoun ,State Minister for Women Affairs, several women parliamentarians, women consultants representing Iraq’s government  and women representatives of Civil Society. The meeting was also attended (via teleconference) by a group of Kurdistan Parliament Women and women activists in the Women Movement. For more Click here
